FAQ
Questions, Answered
Starting therapy is a big step. Here’s what most people want to know before reaching out.
How quickly can I be seen?
Most new clients have a free consultation within a day or two and a first full session within the same week.
Are sessions online or in person?
Sessions are held online through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform for adults located anywhere in Maine.
How long is a session?
Individual sessions are 55 minutes.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. I accept several insurance plans. Visit willowsofgracecounseling.lovable.app for current details and to check your coverage.
Can faith be part of my therapy?
Yes. Christian faith and values can be woven into our work if you want that — with the love of Christ and grace at the center — and left out entirely if you don't. Either way the care stays clinically grounded and respectful of your comfort level.
What actually happens in the first session?
We slow down and get to know your story — what's hurting, what you've already tried, and what you want your life to look like. You'll leave with a clear sense of direction.
How long will I be in therapy?
That depends on your goals. Some people come for a focused season of a few months; others stay longer for deeper transformation. We review progress together regularly.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share stays between us, with the narrow legal exceptions around safety that I'll walk you through in our first session.
Are speaking engagements available?
Yes. I offer live workshops, virtual webinars, retreat sessions, and customized presentations on topics like Faith & Mental Health, Grace Over Shame, Identity & Worth, Anxiety & Overthinking, Healthy Boundaries, Christian Coping Skills, and Trauma & Healing.
What can churches and organizations expect?
After you send an inquiry, we talk through your audience, goals, and format. You receive a written outline, timing, and any handouts before the event. Sessions are warm, practical, and clinically sound — never shaming, and always respectful of your community's values.
Can workshops be presented virtually?
Yes. Webinars run 45 to 90 minutes with teaching, practical tools, and Q&A, and can be delivered to groups anywhere. In-person workshops and retreats are also available when travel expenses can be covered.
What are your fees for speaking and workshops?
Fees depend on format, length, travel, and whether it's a single session or a series. Send an inquiry with your details and I'll follow up with pricing and availability.
